Saturday in Kinshasa

Again this Saturday, the children were gathered at the house of one of our local members in Kinshasa. For the children, Saturday has become a day when they are invited in by some adults who wants them there and treat them well. In Congo Børn, our goal is to create a safe place where the children don't just come once a week, but a place where they can live, a place they can call their home. We are working hard to reach our goal. Until then, our local members in Kinshasa are making a huge effort to give the children some of the security and care that life on the streets otherwise doesn't offer much.

It meens a lot to be seen as a valuable person, to be accepted.Our members do a fantastic job. It is clear that they do not have much themselves, but they give what they can. What they can give is care and love. This costs nothing. They have opened their hearts to children who have no one else in the world to go to.
