The association Congos Børn is driven by the desire to create a better future for street children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our purpose is clear: to provide support and assistance to street children so that their safety and well-being can be increased.
We are proud to have started a temporary children's home in the heart of Kinshasa, where our dedicated staff and many volunteers provide care and support to the children under our care. But our vision does not stop there. We dream of creating even more for these children.
Our future goal is to establish a permanent children's home with an accompanying school, educational workshops, and agriculture on the outskirts of Kinshasa. We believe in creating an environment where children not only have a safe place to live but also have access to quality education, vocational training, and opportunities to learn about sustainable agricultural practices.
By investing in the future of these children, we are investing in a better world for us all. We are deeply grateful for the support and encouragement we receive, and for all of you who participate in our journey to bring light and hope to street children in Kinshasa.
Together, we can make a difference.

Congos Børn at FN 2024UNCSC
We are a small, newly established Danish NGO, and it is therefore a great vote of confidence from the UN committee to not only grant us access passes to the conference but also to select us to organize one of the 44 workshops at the conference.
How far we have come, and thank you all for your support and encouragement. A lot has happened with Congo's Children since November 2023. We are overwhelmed and grateful for the tremendous support and encouragement.
We have received a fantastic donation from the Working School association. A total of 24 computers are now ready to be sent to Kinshasa, which opens up entirely new opportunities for our children in DR Congo.
We at Congos Børn are fortunate to have been granted a spot at the “2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference” in Nairobi, Kenya, on May 9-10, where we are one of the selected NGOs to conduct a workshop. We will be standing together with Save the Children International, where Gina Nzeba Tshiswaka Hagebro, founder of Congos Børn and VIGALEX, along with secretary Kim Henriksen, will share our journey in opening an orphanage for street children in Kinshasa. Together, they will unveil our vision of an orphanage that integrates a school and agriculture, aiming to be a center for dialogue and democracy in the local community. If your organization is participating in the conference, please come by for a chat and join our workshop.
