Moise is 10 years old. We meet him on the street where
he issame with a bunch of boys.
Moise says that his mother and father are divorced.
When hemother found a new man and could marry the new
mandislike Moise, as does his father's new wifedislike
Moise. So Moise was sent off, tolive with his
grandmother.
One day Moise lost his shoes. The grandmother senthim
out to look for them, and said he did nothad to come
back before he had found his shoes.Moise looked and
looked but could not find his shoesnor anyone who would
buy a new pair of shoesfor him. So Moise was thrown out
of his grandmother's house.
Moise says that he walked and walked until he met some boys who lived on the street. Boys offered that he could join them. They showed Moise how they collect food on the street, from restaurants and markets and how they beg to survive. Moise stayed with the boys and he is now one of the 7 boys in the group that the local members of Congo's Children have made contact with and meet.
The boys are currently receiving a weekly meal from the local branch of Congo's Children, "Vigalex". They tell their heartbreaking stories about their struggle to survive in the streets of Kinhasa.
